Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} E.A.C.11. RADIATOR. X. 8250. (RE. VISIT OF HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} TO WW. ON WEDNESDAY, 22.10.24). I think the specimen of this with the vertical shutters brought here by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is a very creditable piece of work from all points of view, and I am pleased with its appearance and operation. Its weight (130 lbs.) should be examined, compared, and reduced if possible. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will send a list of the weights of the separate pieces of this radiator. The corners of the shutters which project outwards when the shutters are open should be rounded, say with .1" radii. The water might be allowed to circulate in the cells of the side plates if not already done. MADE AT CROXLEY. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
