Dear Oy.,

You will remember that I asked you in my last letter whether you could explain unusual tyre wear of a car being driven continuously round a left-hand corner. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has now asked me to send you more details of this problem, which is connected with Eyston's long distance record breaking car. He hopes you may be able to throw some light on the subject. I am therefore sending you a copy of a letter we had from Eyston, together with prints showing the wishbone geometry of the front suspension of the car, and wheel and tyre drawings.

As regards the sprint car, drawings of this are not available but it is intended to use parallel motion both front and rear. Eyston asks whether you consider this the best arrangement. On both cars the springs are exceedingly stiff, and while driving the long distance car round Salt Lake no roll is noticed by the drivers.

I am glad to hear you are moving nearer this factory.

We have all had a good laugh at the new Vauxhall suspension, and notice that the torsion bar housings make excellent snow ploughs!

Yours sincerely,
