Dear Sirs, We are much obliged to you for your letter of the 12th. instant, reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS2/P., and in reply have much pleasure in enclosing herewith our catalogue describing our standard carburetter. The literature concerning our new Leverstart model is just coming into production. The retail price of this De Luxe carburetter is £6, but we should of course be able to quote a special nett price for a quantity contract. We regret that we are unable to supply a down-draught type of carburetter as, although we have carried out numerous experiments with such a design, we have never found that any advantage has been gained over our usual type. We should have liked to have had the opportunity of discussing the merits of our carburetter with your engineers, and in the event of your deciding that you would like to investigate the R.A.G. further, we should be happy to arrange to bring an instrument for your inspection. In conclusion we would point out that we are able to supply carburetters suitable for various sizes of engines up to 3 1/4" choke, and we need hardly | ||
