Huckerby} 24th September, 1938. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. C.S. Steadman We thank you for your letter of the 22nd inst. and note your decision to await the Smith production Heater, and we are pleased to inform you that all the parts for a suitable sample are ready for assembly and we hope certainly within ten days you will be able to have a sample for test. Incidentally, would you also kindly bear in mind when considering this job that there is no doubt that the American Motors which we have been using in the past run at a high speed, and the British Motor, when we get it through, will be designed to run at less revs. This should give a corresponding reduction in noise, but there will be sufficient air flow to the screen/for heating. and We much regret we have been unable, so far, to send you prices for the small Defroster Blower; also the silent type Fan. We have been in communication with the American Manufacturers, but you appreciate it takes some time, and we are expecting notification of delivery any day. We have not, however, overlooked the matter. Yours faithfully, p.p. S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED. WP. To avoid delay all envelopes should be addressed to the firm. | ||
