To EJJ.

We think it may be of assistance to you if we give you a weekly list of work which you have in hand and for which we are waiting.

Cold Chamber.

It is no exaggeration to say that the two most important jobs on the large bore 20/25 and Ph.III are dependent upon the cold chamber. We should therefore be glad if you would do everything you can to get this completed. We note that the last letter from the manufacturers which you showed us had been in the factory a fortnight before we saw it. There was possibly some very good reason for this, but it all adds up into delay, and Ph.III is in such a position that we cannot afford to wait. We shall be glad to see drawings of where the cold chamber is going to be put.

No.30 Test House.

Work on this test house was started on October 14th, and from conversations with people working on the job it appears that for some little time past they have been waiting for drawings. They say they have just got the drawings for the water system but they have not yet got any drawings for the steam piping.

You were going to let us know where the water brakes which were ordered for the Wraith test house had got to. We presume that these will be fitted in this test house, which will expedite the changeover, and the brakes at present used by Salt will be used for the new test house.
