With reference to the following experiments which you reported to us as finished and ready for test, Mr.Heldenby now informs us that 7CA is available for having these parts fitted. We shall be glad therefore, if you can see your way to fitting these parts. X.2369A - Pistons E.10915 with 6 upper rings and 1 scraper ring with no skirt below bottom ring. (Rings 4 & 6 pinned (to super sheet E.10937). X.2369B - Piston E.11640 with 6 upper rings and 1 scraper ring and with skirt below bottom rings. Rings 4 & 6 pinned. (to 2nd column of super sheet 10937). X.2809A - Pistons E.12386 with 6 upper rings and 1 scraper ring and with skirt below bottom ring, but differing from E.11640 (X.2369B in having perforated groove below bottom ring and 6 rings pinned). X.2809B - Ditto except that 4 rings pinned instead of 6 and a .2" gap instead of .4". X.2725 - Specially lightened valves but not drilled down stem. EFC. | ||
