Re U.S.A. manufactured Fan Belts.

On January 6th last Mr.Whitehead forwarded to you a copy of a letter we had received from Mr.Thos.J.Gooding of 24, South Knighton Road, Leicester, dated 5th January, 21.

We shall be pleased if you will let us have your reply to this letter; you will notice in the last paragraph of said letter they refer to your visit to the works of Graton & Knight Ltd. of Worcester, U.S.A.

Our reason for asking for your report is that last week we had a visit from a representative of Mr.Thos.J.Gooding who has made us an offer of 1/- per foot for the whole of the belts we have in stock but, as this would entail a loss to the Company of approximately £1,500, we desire to go further into the matter and, to enable us to do this, we require your report as, you will notice in the letter, there is some suggestion of Graton & Knight Ltd. replacing the belts with an improved pattern.

Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} /Ms.
