IZOD TESTS

For these tests two of the bars were tested without nitriding and two after fully machining and nitriding.

We have not made similar Izod tests with and without case on Nickel Case Hardening Steels, but we are preparing bars for this purpose.


The following are the results of tests on NICKEL CASE HARDENING STEEL TO SPEC. 2073.

These tests represent two different heat-treatments giving slightly differing core hardness figures.


TESTS ON NICKEL CASE HARDENING STEEL TO SPECIFICATION 2072.

The following figures were supplied by BY's Dept. They are average figures based on fifteen consecutive tests on camshafts made on the Works testing machines.
