contd:- -3- gear nearly all the way. The hill out of Vizille on which the car boils badly, is of more severe gradient and is about 4 miles long with a steady gradient of about 1 in 20 but in places may be 1 in 12 or 15. The surface is good and the road is a good class main road with no really bad turns. The brakes are working very well except for the squeak. The gear box rattle which was bad on this car at the beginning is still there but is very much reduced and is only really evident when the car is cold and gradually is reduced as the oil warms up. It is noticeable at between 40 and 50 M.P.H. on retard. The mileage is as follows:- Miles since leaving Derby and up to June 7th. 11,682 On June 9th. and 10th. 161 Total miles run since leaving Derby 11843. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} | ||
