To W/N 'Br' from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}3/N.4.10.38. ------------------ ---------------------- Re: Chassis GNC.26 - Squeaking Servo. ------------------------------------- Arrangements have been made with LA.{L. A. Archer} to supply you with two RAD.13 servo discs. One disc you will find has been drilled for rivets, and pressed into the disc are two graphite plugs. This disc as shewn by the sketch enclosed, is to be rivetted on to the back driving flange. This is to make the friction apply to the inner side only which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} says reduces the tendency to squeak. This departure from standard must be looked upon as an experiment, as we are not sure of the permanent result, and we should be obliged if you will let us have any comments in service of same.
