VALVE TIMING - RE CAMSHAFT. ---------------------------------- X4090 X5090 X1M40 Referring to R1/M5.6.29., we had already in anticipation of your views, produced cam forms for the 20 HP car, which follow closely all the improvements incorporated in the SS.{S. Smith} camshaft. We are sending herewith blueprints of Schs. 1153/1158 showing the inlet valve and exhaust valve lift curves for the cam forms in question, and on the same drawings we have indicated the valve lift curves for the present type cam forms. We put the improved cam forms in hand immediately the larger bore was mooted, as it was evident that similar advantages would we required for the cam forms in this case under the new conditions as for the Sº.
