| Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} at W. BENTLEY FOR Lp{Mr Lappin}'s USE. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has asked me to remind you that when this car is handed over to Lp.{Mr Lappin} with the new P.W. Saloon body on it the frontal appearance must be standard. That is to say, the wings must come alongside the outer sides of the chassis frame side members; the front cross tube must be in the present standard position and the apron must be of the current type. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has decided that we cannot afford to put the car on the road with the cross tube dropped below the apron and with the inner valences of the wings brought inside the side members of the chassis frame because its appearance would be noticeably different from that we can give customers at present.
