Contd. -2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG3.6.20. although we do not consider they were as bad as the present standard springs in that respect. We have taken the springs apart and examined the bedding and find that they still bed hard at the point of the springs. We expect to receive from Messrs. Woodheads by the end of this week 2 or 3 pairs of springs which have the latest modifications i.e., the broad endof the leaves tapering in thickness at the end. X.3483. Mrl Frood of the Ferodo Company has sent us a set of Ferodo strips which have been running on the front springs of his R-R car. The Ferodo has been shaped to suit the round end of the front spring leave.x Ther e is no signs of the Ferodo having given way under pressure, all the strips are in very good condition.
