[Handwritten top left]: Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} [Handwritten top middle]: 122/ [Typed Subject]: Shell-Mex & B.P. Ltd. [Typed Main Text]: With reference to the attached correspondence, I am not in favour of selling our cars cheaply in order to enable Shell to conduct oil tests. As it is we have a great deal of our time occupied by representatives of Wakefields, The Vacuum Oil Co. and Shell. If they were running our cars we should never be rid of them. Mr. Callingham quotes you, on sheet 2, as having been sympathetic to his suggestion that he should run a Bentley. If, therefore, you do not agree with my view of the matter, I would like to know before replying. [Handwritten annotations at bottom]: Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} I agree with your view.
