Gaps were carefully checked, replaced without any adjustment and again missing was eliminated. The question Rolls required to be answered is, the insertion of feelers in gap removed any dirt or other body from the electrodes which had collected [xxxxxxx] over this period. They contend this is oxidisation of electrodes and require our opinion. Does oxitidisation of electrodes take place and would it have the effect on engine performance their tests have proved. They will be very interested to receive a report from our laboratory on this point. Sgd. H.W. IRVING. | ||
