6003 February 9th.1938 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/AP. Messrs.S.Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2 Dear Sirs, We have received your letter of 8th inst. for which we thank you. In reply to your query, we would state that the case is not an isolated one, and that we should like to have this 'dead beat' feature on all our thermometers on future cars if it is possible get it. This means of course incorporating it on the dual gauge instrument, since as things stand at present, the single pointer instrument will not be used on future models. We would like to hear whether you can attain this as soon as you are in a position to let us know. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
