Phantom III Cross and Side Steering Tubes.

We have already sent to you Lec.5356 and Lec.5357 showing respectively the outer end of the cross steering tube, and the front end of the side steering tube on Phantom III provided with a means of adjustment having a brazed on threaded end following the design of Lec.5349 for Bentley III.

We now send you herewith corresponding designs N.Sch.4967 and N.Sch.4968 based on the suggestion given in RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}2/CB.18.11.36 and Ex.25145. The design to be adopted for test will depend upon the cost investigation for various types of adjustable joint, now being carried out on Bentley III.
