TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to --BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL ROAD SPRINGS - (CLIPS.) DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M3.5.27. X8410 X1333 X3854 X5410 With reference to the riveted on clip which you are asking for, R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes to make one which exactly resembles the present Woodhead clip, but is attached to the plate through a riveted on cross piece. He does not care for the type in which the clip itself is riveted to the plate, and a bolt and distance piece clamp the upper ends together. We send herewith N. sch. 2406. and 2407., shewing respectively the proposals for the 40/50. and 20HP., front springs. Clips for the rear springs of both cars should be prepared on similar lines, these drawings being intended as guides. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
