X.3530 - FIBRE WASHER IN SERRATED TYPE MAGNETO DRIVE.
X.3699

In view of the fact that the present fibre washer chars up during the dynamometer run on the engine, it is quite useless fitting this type of washer as a standard. We agree that it has stood up on the experimental car, but we are certain that in this case the fibre washer has never been under the rigorous conditions imposed by running the engine and car on the dynamometer. Under these conditions, therefore, I propose to fit a paper washer in place of the fibre washer referred to.

If the Expl: Dept: have any objection to this will they kindly let me know.
