We have read through the memo RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}2/ MC.26.10.38. with interest, and noted the contents. We agree that the cause of the knocks has been controversial, but GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} has cured several chassis by reducing the side clearance. A specific case was Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s Wraith, which had the side clearance reduced from .009 to .003. In view of this, we must fit the new parts, which enable the reduced clearance to be obtained with a minimum of expense, on 'B' series Wraith. This action will at least eliminate a percentage of complaints, as we have proved it is a known cure. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
