M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} FROM D.A. C. to SC. HSR. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} H Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/429.10.32. X4553. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 3. REAR AXLE. It will be necessary to have a gear still higher than the 4.1 to 1 we have already given you, and we have investigated the possibility of getting such a gear into the Peregrine casing. If we can have a pinion angle of about 35° it looks as though we could do so without materially altering the existing dimensions. We send herewith a.{Mr Adams} sch. 3577. showing a 11/41 gear, 35° pinion angle, which gives approximately 90 MPH. at 4000 RPM. of the engine. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
