To Db.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/MJ.24.4.35. Replying to Db.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}12/JL.4.4.35. Referring to the letter from Silvertown Lubricants Ltd., asking for a recommendation for their oil to be used on our cars, we are at the present time recommending four different makes of oil for cars and it was agreed some time ago that this number should not be increased. We have never run any cars on Speedolene. We are quite satisfied with the present grades which were recommended, unless therefore we receive definite instructions to carry out tests on this oil we shall not proceed.
