Re: 14-G-IV.
----------

I received your wire today, reading :-

" CAN YOU ARRANGE THREE OF OUR MEN TO GET DRIVING LICENCES IN PARIS ON TWENTYSEVENTH IS THEIR PERSONAL ATTENDANCE ESSENTIAL "

and confirm my reply, as under :-

" TO OBTAIN DRIVING LICENSES YOUR MEN PLEASE SEND RAC PALLMALL LONDON TWO PHOTOS EACH DATE PLACE BIRTH FULL NAMES ADDRESSES WRITING "

From which I trust you will have understood that in order to obtain French licenses for your three men by the 27th inst., there would hardly be sufficient time for us to do the necessary at this end, and suggesting that you apply to the R.A.C. Pall Mall, London, giving them the following information :

1º- Full names of each driver.
2º- Complete addresses.
3º- Place of birth.
4º- Date.
5º- Two photos of each candidate.

The R.A.C. will then transmit the necessary particulars to their Agent at Le Hâvre, who will issue the French driving licences, and matters could be so arranged that, as the car will be coming through Le Hâvre, the French driving licences could be applied for on the arrival of your men at that port.
