I.H. BRAKE TESTS. 19-EX. 4.3.31. From 70.MPH. to 10.MPH. cold. 231 ft. From 70.MPH. to 10.MPH. After 6 consecutive applications 462 ft. Distance of pedal from dash cold. 4¾". Distance of pedal from dash after 6 consecutive applications 4½". From 60.MPH. to 10.MPH.......... 181 ft. " 50 " " " " .......... 115 ft. " 40 " " " " .......... 76 ft. " 30 " " " " .......... 49 ft. There was no wait between these tests other than that required to measure the distances, and the pedal position at finish was 4½". A further test was taken from 70.MPH. to 10.MPH. cold giving a distance of 264 ft. The back wheels were then jacked up and the servo run under load for 10 mins. making it too warm to hold your hand on, we then checked the brakes again from 70.MPH. to 10.MPH. requiring a distance of 264' to pull up.
