XJ 33. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AD. 9th May, 1931. Messrs. Delaunay-Bellville Motors Ltd. 115-123, Carlton Vale, Maida Vale, London, N.W.6. Dear Sirs, We are interested in the claims made to cure steering road shocks from your spring loaded shackle at the rear end of the front spring on the steering side of the car. If you would be so kind as to demonstrate to us the advantage of this shackle we might consider testing one on our cars. Perhaps you have a car fitted with such a shackle which can be easily made solid. We imagine some trouble might be encountered if much braking be applied to the front wheels. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
