To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} c. RC{R. Childs}/CAP. 6142, Dynamo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}8/JH.11.1.38. Dynamo failure on Car 25.G.VI. We have twice recently experienced trouble on car 25.G.VI. due to the dynamo ceasing to charge each time the fault has been remedied by attention, given as far as possible with the machine in position on the car. In order to make a lasting job of it, the dynamo should be removed, cleaned, have the bearings checked for slackness and commutator skimmed. Will you please arrange to have this done.
