To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x550 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/KW.11.12.35. 25 HP. Steering. In our memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}5/KW.4.11.35 we asked you to make one set of Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4 and fit to 21-G-IV. As there is now insufficient time to try the arrangement on this chassis without delaying the 10,000 miles test we shall have to try it on another 25 HP. chassis. We are not yet able to allocate a chassis so will you please hold up the job when you have got to the stage where the chassis is necessary. This scheme requires a 9.437" pendulum lever and as the only one at present in existence is on 21-G-IV we shall require a second one. Will you please construct one. The splines should not be cut until we know what type of steering it has to fit. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
