I note that you will advise me later regarding a suitable date for a discussion on the performance of our new tyre. We have not been able to keep our promise to despatch the 16 further tyres which you require. They will, however, be despatched today. One of the covers Serial No. 3546, does not conform with our balance tolerance, the amount out of balance being 52 inch-ounces, but with the tube properly located, i.e., with the light spot of the cover midway between the valve and the splice the assembly is then 30 inch-ounces out of balance. Because of the urgency of this matter we have decided to send this tyre to you, but we included it in those going to Derby so that you could be certain that it was fitted to a rear wheel.
