RDY. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} ~E5989~ X719 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LC4.5.28. (Sample submitted 3rd. Jan. 1928) RAYBESTOS BRAKE LININGS. X228 We completed 10,000 miles on 15-EX fitted with these linings. We have turned the material down as a result of these tests. The reason is that it has no advantages over Ferodo as regards the squeaking or wearing qualities but has scored the brake drums very badly all round. As our brake drums are already of .45 carbon, we do not see any possibility of utilising this material. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
