CAR FOR R.{Sir Henry Royce}

ORIGINAL x 8992

Replying to BY/CGH{W Clough}9/W231030:-

As regards paragraph "body" we want the 60" track, and the body will be built to suit. This also answers the query re. subframe in next para.

Bonnet - we do want it to overhang the dash similar to N. 2. series. The radiator should if possible have the central suspension to N. scheme 3110.

Regarding centralised chassis lubrication we think you should fit the arrangement on N. schemes 3107. and 3109. if this can be done without delaying the chassis.

Stop light switch - we will send you some further information in the course of a day or two.

Pedals and side levers - we agree to fitting the adjustable pedals and special side levers.

The series should be N. 2.

As regards lamps we think that on this car we should not attempt to fit the Marchel, but use P.100, and Lucas combined rear lamp. STOP LAMP + REVERSING LAMP. We shall send you a scheme for the latter in the course of a day or two.

As regards the 2 designs you speak of at the end we shall send you these immediately.

In general we may say that since the car must be ready for R.{Sir Henry Royce} to go to France (possibly the 1st. week in Dec.) anything which cannot be done with certainty in this time should not be attempted.
