Modification notice for Wraith III chassis cruciform plates to increase clearance for the exhaust system.

It has been found necessary to increase the depth of the holes in the cruciform plates, for the exhaust system by 1", to ensure clearance is obtained after engine movement, sagging of support and pipes, and assembly limits have been taken into consideration. In accordance with E.CD.258, we have modified the following to suit, and attach herewith three blue prints of each for Rubery Owens :- FW.1213 Front Plate - Cruciform Torque Member. 1 off. FW.1214 Rear " " " " 1 " FW.1216 L.H. " " " " 1 " Any parts produced should be altered. Referring to FW.1213, we have also deleted the 1" dia. hole in the centre of the plate, for the engine tie rod.
