To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to PN.{Mr Northey} c. to CJ. X3456 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG22. 8.24. RE. OVER-HEATING. X766 X1751 X3456 We will certainly put the question to R.{Sir Henry Royce} of sending an EAC. car to Spain. At the present moment, however, our man whom we have sent to Switzerland is delayed from carrying out any tests because the weather there is so cold that they cannot reproduce the boiling troubles on the cars. In the case of the EAC., we have no radiators made to the design which has only just been completed. The EAC. cars we have running about, there is no need to take to Spain or Italy because we can boil them easily in England. We have been carrying out a great number of tests in connection with this matter and have taken comparisons of the Hispano. We shall be discussing these results with R.{Sir Henry Royce} next week. We shall also be sending an experimental report which will show definitely that the Hispano is very much less likely to boil than our 40/50 HP. We have prepared a radiator to suit the standard 40/50 HP. car with a 2¼" deeper matrix than 107-MG upon which PN.{Mr Northey} had the trouble, or 1¼" deeper than the latest standard radiator. We shall have the car ready fitted contd:- | ||
