Describe how accident happened and give sketch.
I was driving the car in the direction of Weedon being at the time of the incident some five miles from the town, the scene of the accident is a bridge which takes the form of a hump thus causing a blind spot in either direction of a driver going in either direction. After treating the known danger point with the caution demanded I proceeded at approximately twenty miles per hour over the bridge, on reaching the position indicated in sketch I saw a saloon car on the wrong side of the road, possibly in the act of cutting what was for the driver a right hand bend. Faced with two alternatives me to hit car and sustain considerable damage to both cars and passengers, the other to swerve hard to the left in an endeavour to miss the oncoming car which I did, resulting in the Bentley mounting the grass verge and sliding down the bank into the field. In doing this the car sustained a bent cross steering tube a damaged N/S front wing and a dent in the petrol tank. The driver of the other car although off off the road failed to stop, consequently we have no particulars of either car or driver. The only available witness to my accident being my passenger Mr. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Sawager.
