| -2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ru.1/KM.12.7.34. Since receiving your letter, I have had further conversation with them, and they say they are definitely very confident of having some results within the next fortnight, and, for what it is worth, they say these results will be positive and satisfactory. They say they are being pressed by your people and High Duty Alloys, in addition to ourselves, so that it does appear desirable that we should give them this further time before finally coming to the conclusion that they are not yet anywhere near the mark. Since we shall have to do all the testing for them when they finally submit something to us, we are still apprehensive that it may be a long time before we can get any results.
