STEERING COLUMN. "V" SERIES.

As it is pretty certain that a modified column will have to be brought in at approximately Chassis 100 or Chassis 150, according as to Works' program permits, the column in question incorporating a number of minor improvements including roller bearings on the rocking shaft in order to get rid of the complaint of stiff steering, and since the improved box with roller bearings demands more clearance from the edge of the frame, it means that the drilling for the column will be at 10.250" from the centre instead of 10.500".

It is therefore desirable not to go ahead of requirements in drilling dashboards, until this particular point has been settled.

Will the Works kindly let me know when they will reach their limitation with dashboard drilling, on the understanding that they can go to the 100 columns of the present type, and similar information for 150 columns of the present type.
