W.P. - 2 - 2 2) can be cured by fitting cotton
Previous Quarter. C.C. 2 6 2 11 21) 27 duck washers in place of bakelite.
W.P. - 2 - 4 6) PH.II. - Latest type low inertia
Six Months. 3 19 2 21 45 45 drive with "window" type pressure
plate cure this trouble. See

ENGINE - RATTLE FROM TIMING GEARS. 20/25 HP. Synchromesh cars. -
September Quarter. C.C. 2 71 - 10 83) 86 Design and Experimental Departments
W.P. 3 - - - 3) are now producing a cam balancing
Previous Quarter. G.C. - 42 - - 42) 44 device to overcome gear rattles.
W.P. - 2 - - 2)

ENGINE - VALVE SPRINGS BROKEN OR WEAK.
September Quarter. C.C. - 4 - 3 4) 7 New type valve springs with semi-
W.P. - - - - 3) open ends and circular grinding
Previous Quarter. C.C. - 18 2 3 23) 32 are now being used and are a
W.P. - - - 9 9) definite improvement. The 20/25 HP.
Six Months. - 22 2 15 39 39 failures are believed to be due to
a batch of faulty material.
WATER LEAKS FROM CYLINDER.
September Quarter. C.C. - 1 - 2 3) 40 PH.I. and PH.II definitely cured
W.P. - 3 - 34 37) by fitting nickel plated copper
Previous Quarter. C.C. - - 3 4) 86 tubes in place of original
W.P. - 1 11 71 82) aluminium tubes. Also bronze core
Six Months. - 1 15 110 126 126 hole plugs instead of aluminium.
All cars being attended to. Depot
