Dear Mr.Robotham, Herewith the pump I referred to taken from the Bentley car belonging to Mr.Withers of Messrs.Willmot-Breedon. This was made by us in June of last year, and as you will see it is non-standard, being fitted with the S.S.15 unions and gut diaphragms. The pump failed, Mr.Willmot reported, although the car is a brand new one, and we have simply exchanged it for a new one ex our stock. We are, therefore, enclosing our invoice, marked for your attention. Yours sincerely, P.S. Mr.Withers, of course, does not know that the pump is not absolutely up to date.
