This trouble on Ph.II is caused by the sliding joint not working, and is definitely cured by modifying the sliding joint as per Depot Sheet No. Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 199 and fitting an additional stay to the rear silencer as per Depot Sheet No. Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 218.

A reinforced downtake pipe flange is being used on all 20 HP. cars to cure blows. Depot Sheet Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 201.

The majority of these are top over-oiling and definitely cured by restricting the oil flow at the valve end of the rockers. See Depot Sheets Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 147 Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 174 and Hd. {Mr Hayward / Mr Huddy} 176.
