Mechanical Efficiency of La{L. A. Archer} Salle Steering Box.

The table below shows the efficiency of the La{L. A. Archer} Salle steering box measured in forward and reverse drive under static conditions.

The ratio of angular movement of the steering wheel to that of the Pendulum lever is 19.7 at the centre of the travel.

The efficiencies below are measured at mid-travel.

Table Data:
Load on Pendulum Lever - lbs. | Pendulum Lever Torque lbs. Ins. | Efficiency of Transmission Forward | Efficiency of Transmission Reverse.
100 | 650 | 63.5 | 63.7
150 | 975 | 67.3 | 69.3
200 | 1300 | 70.7 | 72.0
250 | 1625 | 70.0 | 71.7
300 | 1950 | 70.7 | 72.6
350 | 2275 | 69.9 | 72.3
