BENTLEY 111. FRONT HUB AND BEARINGS.

Herewith is PD.240 shewing the use of angular contact bearings as suggested by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Grys, in place of the roller and deep groove bearings now used. There appears to be no saving of cost in the actual bearings, but the hub is simplified and some parts dispensed with. We have not shewn the nut tightened only against the preload and retained by the split-pin, as originally suggested and following Oldsmobile, but have asked for the nut to be fully tightened as now.

We shouldlike these parts on the next 15,000 miles car.
