Attention of Mr. W.A. Wilson.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter dated 27th Dec. 1940, reference WAW/JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary}

Your idea of producing a composite drawing to include the individual minimum sections of crown, bosses, pressure faces, etc., on various engines will be most interesting.

Enclosed for your attention is our drawing EB.1299. This piston has operated with complete success on the 3½ litre Bentley, developing 120 B.H.P. at 4000 R.P.M., with maximum revs. 4500. Maximum M.E.P. is 125 at 2000 R.P.M.

The actual weight of this piston came out at 16 ozs.

We shall be obliged if you will proceed on the lines suggested and will be glad to supply any further information required.

Yours faithfully,
