Dear Mr Johnson,

Mrs Goring's chassis.

What our tester Mr Snutch is saying seems to me somewhat serious, and hence, although you may get a report from Cricklewood, I thought I would also write. Mr Snutch is saying that when the front wheels are turned, and the brakes then put on, the brake bites one front wheel sooner than the other, and that this caused this car to turn unexpectedly to a greater extent than it should have.

He explained how it came about mechanically and from my knowledge of the mechanism I can conceive this to be possible.

You will recollect that a little while ago another driver, who wanted to pull up quickly, collided with a refuge and said the car for some reason became unmanageable.

If what Snutch is saying is true, it seems to me that this should be gone into promptly, and I thought I had better let you know in case Cricklewood does not think it urgent.

I have dealt with the insurance form and the Hendon Council letter.

Very truly yours,
(Sd) A.W. Claremont.

Basil Johnson Esq.,

JB
