re- Instrument Patch for S.Smith & Sons' Exhibit at Olympia.
D/BP17/OG31.8.32. In the event of the Works having no objections to the instruments as now instructed from Smiths with the final modifications and corrections which we discussed with Mr.Nichol of Smiths last week, we think then you might let them have a patch for the purpose in question.
At the same time we should like to be sure that they do give all our instruments careful attention and produce the dials as we would now wish, and we are asking Smith & Sons therefore, to let us see a set from those they are proposing to supply to you, taken at random, for the purpose of satisfying ourselves that they are in order. If we have any objections we will of course let you know.
