c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}

WINGS AND VALANCES EAC.7.

Messrs. Hooper and Co. inform us that as they have arranged to put EAC.7. coachwork on the special urgency list, they will be able to give delivery of the wings on Tues. next Jan. 25th. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will wire you directly he hears that they are actually finished.

We believe that we have sent to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} on N.Sch.2251 and its subsequent modifications, all the information you will require to complete the wings and valances for this car.

The front wing is being supplied without valance attached. It should be supported on our stays, suitably bent to suit.

The rear wing will require little work doing to it as it is almost entirely supported by the wheel arch, save for a steady for the rear end, which is usually a hand forging, coming from the frame.

As we have so far been unable to set out a set of dipping head lamps, we suggest that the car should start off with fixed lamps.

We would be glad if BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} could send us a layout of the engine in the frame, shewing in outline the radiator, and cross member, as this information would take us a long while to collect. If we could have this we could more quickly give you a design. We are anxious to know whether you have received a sample of the new Lucas lamp, as we had hoped to have used it on this car. (The body for EAC-7 is promised for Feb.17th.)
