SpectreCodename for Phantom III Catalogue.

Re Bkl.3/SO.5.35.

We have looked through the Phantom Catalogue to see if any illustrations can be repeated in the SpectreCodename for Phantom III Catalogue. There is, however, very little which applies to both chassis.

(1) The mechanically operated Engine Starting Switch is now the same on both chassis. However the picture shown is an earlier type of switch. The background of the picture will of course be different.

(2) The rear axle is very similar. The background of the chassis on the top right hand corner is incorrect.

(3) Road wheel lock. SpectreCodename for Phantom III is fitted with the same wheel hub as the 20/25. The drawing in the Phantom list looks like the early long type hub. Although the essential features are similar in operation, we think an up-to-date picture would be more satisfactory. All the other drawings are useless.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} are at present abroad with a SpectreCodename for Phantom III. They return next Sunday. We did not get in touch with you re photographing this car before leaving England, as the front appearance is so very different to the final edition of SpectreCodename for Phantom III.
