BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3886 DAL/M30.8.27. PHANTOM - CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. Herewith we send N.sch.2454 shewing the slight modification to the boss of the water pump gland to enable the central lubrication to be fitted, and also N.sch.2455 shewing the modification to the front shock damper with front axle control. In this case it will be seen that we are depending on a gravity feed to the ball end. We expect that there will be a sufficient supply of oil, but if not we should be able to fit a sealed connection. We have also dealt with the rear shock damper by a note. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
