X832 M/to: PN{Mr Northey}/DN10.12.25. TO MK c. to BJ & Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM PN{Mr Northey} You will remember that Louis Renault offered to let us have a specimen of his hydraulic Shock-Absorber if we wished to tast it, and that we should examine a section of this in which the peculiar cork and rubber arrangement of joint was explained to us, which it was alleged had been found most effective in preventing leaks. Would you be good enough to arrange with Mons. Renault that a pair of these shock-absorbers be sent to us at Derby some time soon, in order that we can make comparative tests with the peformance of other such devices which we have ascertained and made a considerable study of.
