Pm 80H also HOH CONFIDENTIAL. 28th.November 1938. BY.31/N. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473 High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Painting of Wheels and Discs. [Signature] We wish to discuss with you the cost of painting wire and pressed steel wheels and the discs for each. During our correspondence on the subject of painting 2.B.50, you have quoted £5.0.0 for painting a set of five pressed steel wheels (CNW/JMW.11.11.38) and £1.5.0 per wheel for painting the discs (CNW/JMW.18.11.38). This is a total of £11.5.0 per car. The B.5. car on production will have wire wheels with an external disc only, which we can obtain for 5/- each, chromium plated all over, and buffed where required. It is intended that nearly all cars will have these discs, in which case we propose to use standard black wheels, only painting the exposed portion of the rim outer edge (by brush) to match the car. Should a case arise where no discs are fitted, we would wish to colour the wheels. We can get wire wheels coloured in Derby for 8/- per wheel, including paint, and a set of 5 discs painted for £1.17.6. We realize that the prices you have quoted are "subject". Cont'd..... | ||
