The ignition on this car has been a continual source of trouble and I anticipate that the Remy ignition will not fire a weak mixture, so that when the magneto is not firing the mixture has to be its full strength, or the Remy ignition will not fire it, whereas a good magneto will fire all strengths of mixture until the engine ceases to pull.

We await the improved needle valve as we are now running with the needle valve much weighted with nuts and therefore the petrol level very low.

The magneto has gone wrong on this car, and we want you to send us an up-to-date magneto say Watford latest type, suitable for fitting to this car. We hope the spindle end will fit the same coupling as the Bosch, and that the length of the driving tube and the magneto base and strap will all be suitable.
