To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 8 324 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/AP.10.10.37. also 1310, 1003 Ph.III. Fan, Drive and Starting Handle. We have issued a Standardisation Sheet for a new Ph.III. Fan and Drive, which necessitates a new starting handle bearing and support bracket as well as modification to the timing case. We are therefore recalling this sheet and issuing another one for the same fan and drive (5 bladed type) with the starting handle dogs modified in accordance with LeC.5010., thus dispensing altogether with the starting handle support bracket. We consider that this fan and drive should be on Production as soon as possible, as it represents the best that we can do at the moment to overcome idling overheating troubles. Will you please let us know as soon as possible how many sets of the pieces given below are complete, or what stage of completion they have reached, so that we can arrive at the cost of scrap if this scheme is introduced on D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} series.
